Russell Ray


HAMILTON – Russell A. Ray, 88, of Hamilton passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012.
Born in Hamilton, he attended Hamilton Central School and Colgate University. He owned Ray’s Wayside Furniture for over 50 years. Russ was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army. He was active in coaching youth baseball and was a past member of the Hamilton Sports Boosters Club. He was a member of the American Legion Post #375 of Hamilton.
Surviving are two sons, John of Earlville and Eddie (Linda) of Hamilton; one daughter, Pamela Ray Dale of Earlville; one brother, Donald (Phyllis) of Hamilton; seven grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Caroldine, his daughter Linda Ray White, and his sister, Elizabeth Stankewich.
In keeping with Russ’ wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.

Russ’ family would like to thank everyone for their love and support.
