Edward Hatton


McDONOUGH – Edward E. Hatton, 58, long-time resident of McDonough, passed away earlier this year in the Town of Columbus.
Born in Pennsylvania on Aug. 2, 1948, Edward lived most of his life in McDonough with his sister, Pauline MacLaury, and worked for many years at the CWS in Norwich. He liked to hunt and fish, and to go camping. In his earlier years, Edward had enjoyed trapping, and had been a member of the McDonough Grange 1301 and Del-Se-Nango. One of his favorite things was to sit on the back porch, listening to country music and drinking coffee.
Edward is survived by his sisters and brother: Betty Hatton and Pauline MacLaury, both of McDonough; Bill Hatton of Sidney Center, and Phyllis Sease of Denver, Kentucky; by aunts and uncles: Irean Thurston of Preston Manor, Helen Spenser of McDonough; and Ken Thurston and wife Farrell of Sidney; and by several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Edward was predeceased by his father, Edward C. Hatton.
Memorial services for Edward will be held on Thursday from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Hills of Norwich will officiate. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Friends are invited to call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5 to 6 p.m.
