SHERBURNE – Margaret Lawrence Boyer, 87, of Sacramento, Calif., formerly of Sherburne, passed away Dec. 25, 2006 at the Sutter Roseville Medical Center in Roseville, Calif.
She was born Aug. 4, 1919 in Sherburne, a daughter of Peter and Roseanna Doyle Lawrence and was a graduate of Sherburne High School. On May 13, 1943, Margaret was united in marriage to Wilson W. Boyer in Sherburne. He predeceased her on May 15, 1981. Mr. Boyer was the office manager for T.J. Griffiths in Utica until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Malachy’s Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving are her daughter, Karen Crain of Fair Oaks, Calif.; three sisters, Mary Lawrence, Christine Cahill and Anne Lawrence, all of Sherburne; two brothers and a sister-in-law, James Lawrence of Orlando, Fla.; Raymond and Judy Lawrence of Sherburne; a grandson, Brandon Crain; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, Bernard and John Lawrence; a sister, Catherine Lawrence; and two grandchildren, Jay and Jennifer Lewis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday from St. Malachy’s Church, Sherburne, followed by interment in St. Malachy’s Parish Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 South Main St., Sherburne, on Friday from 4-7 p.m.
The Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
