Naomi Ludlam


SOUTH NEW BERLIN – Naomi C. Ludlam, 91, formerly of South New Berlin, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday evening, April 30, 2012 at the New York State Veterans Home in Oxford.
Born in Fergusonville on Nov. 24, 1920, Naomi was the daughter of William and Naomi (Adams) Kellum. She was dedicated to her work and kept house for a number of families in the Norwich area. Naomi loved working in her flower gardens and mowing lawn with her John Deere. She was a great cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her friends and family. The love of her life was her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. All through her life, she cherished faith, family and friends.
On Dec. 19, 1952 in Derby, Connecticut, Naomi married John Ludlam, who passed away on January 23, 1999. She is survived by three daughters and one son and their spouses, Maryann and Craig Champlin of Oxford, Tonie and Bill Sines of Morristown, TN, Tina Christensen of Binghamton and Chuck and Andrea Sawyer of Unadilla; five grandchildren, Nicole Rossley of Delhi, Jessie Champlin of Springfield Center, Kimberly Lakin of South New Berlin, Arthur Christensen, Jr. of Binghamton and Brian Sawyer of Unadilla as well as fourteen great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter.
Memorial Services for Mrs. Ludlam will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 11 at Faith Bible Church in Oxford. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at a later date in Riverview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Bible Church.
