EARLVILLE – Carrie M. Reese (Cook) Doyle, 89, of Earlville Road, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton.
Born May 11, 1917 in Earlville, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Linnie Brown Reese and was a 1936 graduate of Earlville High School. On October 8, 1939, Carrie was married to Harold I. Cook in Earlville. He predeceased her on May 23, 1970. She married Winston W. Doyle on February 10, 1973 in Earlville. He died on May 4, 1986. Carrie was a beautician in Sherburne for a short time. She had worked for Bevcase in Earlville and Sherburne, and later worked in the cafeteria at the Sherburne-Earlville Central School until her retirement in 1979. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Earlville.
Surviving are three daughters and a son-in-law, Linnie Cook, Mary Bigford, Georgena and David Muhlfeld, all of Earlville; two sons, Wayne Cook of Greene and Raymond Cook of Earlville; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by an infant sister, Mary, a sister Rachel Reese Doyle, and a brother, Leslie A. Reese.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2006 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville, followed by burial in the West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
