NEW BERLIN – Lawrence Eugene Izard of Orlando, Fla., passed away unexpectedly at his home April 2, 2012.
He was born September 16, 1944. He is the son of Richard C. Izard and Mildred L. (Spurling) Izard. He went to school in New Berlin, NY and then went on to enlist in the United States Navy, 1961-1965. He married Marie (Barber) Izard of Saratoga. He worked for Disney World of Orlando for 24 years as a Financial Advisor. He then moved back to Avon to work at Cooper Vision as a Inventory control Manager. Upon retirement moved back to Orlando.
He is survived by two daughters Dawn Marie Izard of Deltona, Fla. and Misty Sue Izard of Lake Mary, Fla. He is also survived by nine other siblings, Betty MacGeen, Pulaski, Tenn., Brenda Weidman, Columbus, William Izard & Mary Weidman, South New Berlin, Patricia Llewellyn Sherburne, Pamela Weidman & Howard Bowen, Columbus, Sandra & Charles Burk, Norwich, Deborah & Camille Hyder, New Berlin, Benjamin & Sandra Izard, South New Berlin and Wanda Izard of Scottsville. Also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife Marie, his father and mother, a nephew Joseph MacGeen and three brothers-in-law James Weidman, Herbert Llewellyn, Eugene MacGeen.
A graveside memorial will be held at 2 p.m. April 21 at the West Hill Cemetery in Sherburne.
A celebration of Larry’s life will follow at the American Legion of Sherburne.
