Jeannette Webb


OXFORD – Jeannette (Hoyt) Webb, 91, of Oxford, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at her home.
She was born on Oct. 16, 1920 in Binghamton, a daughter of the late William and Myra (Wheeler) Hoyt. On Sept. 28, 1945, she married Donald C. Webb, who passed away on Nov. 11, 1995.
She is survived by her children: Stephen Cameron Webb and wife, Sharon of Springfield, Ga., Michael Christopher Webb and wife, Janet of Port Crane, and Susan Elizabeth Transue of Johnson City. She is also survived by three grandsons, William Cameron Webb, Bryan Cameron Webb and Matthew Brian Webb and two granddaughters, Kelly Kelsey and Connie Vail of Port Crane as well as great grandchildren. She is also survived by her very special friend and companion Vincent Marsenelli of Oxford.
Jeannette graduated from Binghamton High School in 1939 and SUNY Fredonia in 1943. She then served in the U.S. Army during World War II. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Oxford.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford.
