HENRY JENISON
NEW BERLIN – Henry LeRoy Jenison, 42, of New Berlin, passed away on April 1, 2012 at Chase Memorial Nursing Home.
Henry was born on May 14, 1969 in Oneonta, the son of Dean & Mary (Ritrovato) Jenison. He was raised on the Jenison Farm where he lived throughout his life.
His loves were God, Church, Counseling at Sky Lake, his family, animals and children. He loved the Christmas and Easter holidays, teaching Sunday school and working at the chicken barbecues for the Methodist Church. He also enjoyed traveling.
Henry was a 1987 graduate of New Berlin Central School, a member of Phoebus Lodge #82, the Toastmasters and the First United Methodist Church of New Berlin. He was employed by Preferred Mutual Insurance Company of New Berlin for 20 years.
He is survived by his mother; Mary; his brother Charles Jenison of Pittsfield; his niece and her husband, John & Megan West; and great niece, Shaleigh West. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church New Berlin, with Reverend Dr. Lyle Linder and Pastor Mary Ann Linder officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin.
The interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, New Berlin.
