Robert Stillman


NEW BERLIN – Robert “Bob” T. Stillman, 54, of Leominster, Mass., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, surrounded by family. 
He is survived by his three children, James R. Stillman of Sterling, Mass., Jonathan G. Stillman of Wilmington, N.C. and Elizabeth J. Stillman of Sterling; his parents, Paul and Joanne Stillman of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; and three siblings, Jacqueline Halowack of Norwell, Mass., Phillip Stillman of Matthews, N.C. and Deborah Stillman of Westport, Conn.; and several nieces and nephews. 
Bob was born on Aug. 25, 1957 in Little Rock, Ark. and was a graduate of New Berlin Central High School. He attended Hartwick College where he was an active member of the Alpha Delta Omega Fraternity before graduating in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. He later married his college sweetheart, Rebecca (Goff) Stillman and relocated to Massachusetts; where he went on to have a very successful career in the insurance industry. 
Bob was a sports enthusiast and an outstanding athlete in basketball, football, and track. He was an avid golf player and Patriots fan, who enjoyed hunting, skiing, snowmobiling, coin collecting and spending time with his three children. The family would like to thank Leominster Hospital for their loving care and support.  
A private funeral service will be held in the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Sterling. 
In lieu of flowers, Bob’s children respectfully request that donations may be made to the Robert T. Stillman Memorial Fund at Hartwick College, 1 Hartwick Drive, Oneonta, NY 13820.
