Norma Record


SHERBURNE – Norma Hadlock Record, 76, of Route 12B, passed away Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006 at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse.
She was born June 7, 1930 in Sherburne, a daughter of Lewis and Bernice Andrews Hadlock and was a graduate of Sherburne High School. On Dec. 28, 1948, Norma was united in marriage to Sherman J. Record in Liverpool. Mrs. Record had worked as a secretary at the Sherburne High School at one time, and later worked for McCredy Motors in the business office.
Norma was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sherburne where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school for many years, and was a member of the Adult Fellowship.
Surviving are her husband, Sherman; a daughter, Deborah S. Record of Liverpool; a son and daughter-in-law, Dale G. and Allison Record of Granger, Ind.; her grandchildren, Allison and Andrew Hayes of Boston, MA; Mark and Erica Record of Beaver, Pa.; step-grandchildren, Maureen and Darren Geibel of Buffalo; Scott Hickey of Orlando, Fla.; a step-great-granddaughter, Hayden Claire Geibel; a sister, Susan Hadlock of Sherburne; a sister-in-law, Janet Hadlock of Sherburne; brothers-in-law and their wives, Jerome and Mary Record of Rochester; Wayne and Jane Record of Huntington, Long Island; Dean and Ina May Record of Morrisville; and many nieces and nephews. A brother, Bruce A. Hadlock predeceased her on Feb. 1, 2001.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, Sherburne, followed by burial in the West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 South Main St., Sherburne on Tuesday (today) from 4-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Norma’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the First United Methodist Church Future Fund, PO Box 556, Sherburne, NY 13460; or to West Hill Cemetery Assoc., c/o Beverly Dolly, PO Box 214, Sherburne, NY 13460.
