Stanley Glowaski Jr.


OXFORD – Stanley Glowaski Jr., Oxford, passed away Feb. 5, 2012 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Hazenton, Pa. on Oct. 4, 1928, he was the son of the late Stanley and Leona (Sterba) Glowaski. He was a graduate of Allentown High School in 1946. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1948 in which he served until 1952. After he left the Air Force, he worked as a Quality Assurance Representative for Pratt & Whitney until his retirement in 1995.
Stanley Glowaski is survived by his siblings, Eleanor (Glowaski) and John Venus, and Dorothy (Glowaski) Frack of Allentown, Pa. He was the loving father to his three children and their spouses, Brian Glowaski, Leslee (Glowaski) Cartland and Bruce Kaufman, and Sean and Karen Glowaski. He is the cherished grandfather to Christopher Cartland, Alicia Cartland, and Kellie Cartland, and great grandfather to Damien Cartland, Jazmine and Marcus Frasier, and Orianna, Nicholas and Mathew Boodhan.
He is predeceased by his loving wife of 56 years, Irene (Kutzenko) Glowaski. He was the brother to the late Marcella (Glowaski) Harkins and Agnes (Glowaski) Sandt.
The family has requested donations be made to Hospice of Schenectady County, Union Street, Schenectady at http://donations.communityhospice.org.
The arrangements are entrusted to the Stone-Demarco Funeral Home, Rotterdam.
A funeral service is being held at Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, Mass. on Thursday, March 9 at 1 p.m.
