Barbara Beecher


OXFORD – Barbara Ann Beecher, born April 9, 1942, passed away Jan. 23, 2012 in Oxford after an extended illness.
She was predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and Paul Bobbitt. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Fred and Sharon Bobbitt, of Meriden, Conn.; sister and brother-in-law Jeanne(Crosetto) and Rick Tuck, The Villages, Fla.; her nephew Dr. Scott (Heather & son Derek) Bobbitt; her niece, Kelly Bobbitt-Schmidt (David & daughters Hailee & Kailynn); and her special pet Sabrina.
Barbara attended Union-Endicott High School and graduated from Chenango Valley High School and Broome Community College. She worked for many years as a legal secretary and later worked as Deputy Chief Clerk for the Broome County Surrogate Court in Binghamton.
Barbara was a beloved daughter, sister and friend. She was a kind and gentle person who loved her family, friends and pets. She loved her horses, dogs and cats. At one time she owned a kennel and took in many stray animals.
