Donald Seaman


CYNTHIANA, KY. – Donald R. Seaman, 78, of Cynthiana, Ky. (formerly of Guilford) passed away Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Cobleskill, Sept. 11, 1933, to the late Howard and Lena Seaman. Donald retired with twenty-one years of service from the United State Air Force with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. After military retirement, he taught Air Force JROTC at Harrison County High School for twenty-one more years.
Besides his parents, Donald was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Seaman and John Seaman; a sister, Betty Ann Wales, a sister-in-law, Shirley Seaman and a grandson, Jason Holland.
Donald is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Dolores M. Seaman; three sons: Michael (Julie) Seaman, Cynthiana, Ky., Thomas (Chere) Seaman, Panama City, Fla. and Mark (Tammy) Seaman, Valrico, Fla; a sister: Jane (Morris) Seaman Eccleston, Greene; three brothers: Robert (Frances) Seaman, Tuscumbia, Ala., David (Sarah) Seaman, Oxford and Charles (Joan) Seaman, Fort Edward; six grandchildren: Taryn and Mary Todd Seaman, Cynthiana, Ky.; Thomas Jr. (Natasha) Seaman, Panama City, Fla.; Jennifer Satterfield, Sabrina Hinka and Mark Seaman II, Valrico, Fla.; four great grandchildren: Faith Satterfield, Kole Hinka, Jason Seaman and Eva Davenport; a sister-in-law: Donna Seaman, Norwich; a brother-in-law: Wayne Wales, Clifton Park; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4 at Ware Funeral Home. Burial was at St. Edward Cemetery in Cynthiana, Ky. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
