NORWICH – Lloyd Manwarren Sr., 97, of Norwich, passed away Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at the Valley View Manor Nursing Home of Norwich.
Lloyd was born Nov. 6, 1914 in Oxford, the son of Lynn and Estella Sayles Manwarren. He was a resident of the Norwich area his entire life. Over the years Lloyd had been a farm worker on numerous farms in the area. On March 2, 1940 in Oxford, he married Ethel Sweet, who passed away Jan. 31, 1995.
Lloyd is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Clara and Roy Parker, Lois Bouffard, Erma Brigam and Kay and James Wales all of Norwich; four sons and daughters-in-law, Lynn and Nat Manwarren of Norwich, Lloyd (Jack) III and Vickie Manwarren of Plymouth, Leon and Darlene Manwarren of Plymouth and Erwin and Delores Manwarren of Sherburne. Also surviving are 41 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Besides his wife Ethel, Lloyd was predeceased by his grandsons Chris David Manwarren and Donald G. Brigham; his sisters Bernice Parker and Pearl Thompson; his brothers Francis, Emmett (Ike), Grover, Lynn Jr., Russell, Ernest (Pete) and Wilson Manwarren.
Funeral services for Lloyd will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at a later date in the South Plymouth Cemetery.
