NEW BERLIN – Sharon L. Bice, 69, of New Berlin, passed away on Jan. 7, 2012 in Waterville.
She was born on March 28, 1942 in Clayville, the daughter of Neil & Edna (Strain) Barlett. Her childhood was spent in Clayville.
Sharon married Royce Bice in September 1961. He survives her.
She was employed as a nurses aide for Chase Memorial Nursing Home, New Berlin, for 20 years. She enjoyed the horse races at Vernon Downs and working on the family farm.
Sharon is survived by her children; Royce Bice Jr. of New Berlin, Mark Bice and his fiancée Sherri Baldwin of New Berlin, Cindy Carney of New Berlin, Tammy Carney of Georgia as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister; Marcia Pritchard of Clinton, and three brothers; Earl, Dale & Neil Barlett of Utica, as well as several nieces & nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.n. Wednesday at the Dakin Funeral Home LP with the Reverend Stephen Reese officiating. Calling hours will be held from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the funeral service.
The interment will be held in the Sauquoit Cemetery.
