LEONARDSVILLE – Mildred May Church, 90, of Leonardsville and formerly of Norwich, passed away on Jan. 7, 2012 at her home.
She was born on Sept. 26, 1921 in Kirkwood, Illinois, the daughter of Warren & Ruth (Crouse) Arnold.
Mildred worked in the cafeteria of NBT bank until her retirement. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 189 of Norwich.
She is survived by her children: Ruth Ann Dixon of Lewisburg, N.C., Patricia & Luis Wilcox of Whitney Point, Nancy Phillips & Carla Neilsen of Leonardsville, and Lonnie Wilkes of Norwich, as well as many very special grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by step-sons: James & Joanne Church of Ithaca and Rich & Cheryl Church of Bouckville.
Mildred was predeceased by her husband, Hugh Church and her significant other, John Edwards as well as her brothers; Warren, Harold and Arnold.
Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life at the family residence, 11302 Mill St., Leonardsville, on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.
