Patricia Murray


BOLIVIA, N.C. – Patricia (Loomis) Murray 68, formerly of Schenectady, passed away suddenly at home on Dec. 27, 2011.
Born on Dec. 13, 1943 in Norwich, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Frances (Greene) Loomis. She graduated from Norwich High School and subsequently married Donald F. Murray Sr. on Dec. 19, 1961. He predeceased her on May 8, 2007.
Pat was a homemaker for many years while raising her two sons then went on to work for Carl Co. in Schenectady. She later worked for The Golub Corporation until her retirement in 2005. She will always be remembered for the love of her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she created special memories with every holiday and birthday. Patty loved her home, country music, baking and reading novels.
Survivors include her sons Donald (Jill) Murray Jr. of Rotterdam, Gregory Murray of Bolivia, N.C, and her loving grandchildren Jeffrey, Ashley, Mikey and Karley Murray. She was the sister of Robert (Cheryl) Loomis Jr., Kathy (Tim) Crandall, Debbie (Robert) Matteson, Betsy (Mark) Lindholm, Bill (Betsy) Loomis, and Pegi (Brian) LoPresti. Several nieces nephews and a very dear sister-in-law, Ruby Morrell and friend Bill Kulzer.
Friends may call at DeMarco & Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue, Schenectady on Tuesday starting at 5 p.m.; special remembrances will be shared by friends and family at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m., with entombment immediately following. 
Contributions may be made to one of Patty's favorite charities, the Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 725-A Wellington Ave., Wilmington NC  28401 in memory of Patricia Murray.
