NORWICH – Richard S. Westover died Monday morning, Dec. 5, 2011 at the young age of 66. 
He was born on Nov. 27, 1945 and grew up in Norwich. He later played basketball at Seton Hall University.
After graduation, he moved to Florida in 1969. Rick was a math teacher and curriculum coordinator for Sarasota County schools until his retirement in 2005.
After retirement, he and Patsy enjoyed doing some consulting work along with golfing, traveling, cooking, and spending time with his family and many friends.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Patsy; son, Bradly; stepsons, John (Diana) Ford and Josh (Brenda) Ford; two grandsons, Zachary and Nathan Westover, and one baby due in April; brother, Stan; sister, Cherie Joy; and extended family members.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Rick’s life at Bent Tree County Club at 2 p.m. Saturday.
