OXFORD – Francis Michael Corrigan passed away Nov. 30, 2011 at the age of 82.
He was predeceased by his wife Joanne and son Matthew. He is survived by sons Stephen (Catherine) and Michael Corrigan; daughters Kathleen Barnes and Margaret Corrigan; seven grandchildren, Lauren, Stephanie, Brett, Ryan, Kristen, Kelli, and Katelynd; three step grandchildren, Jason, Carly, and Joanne; one great-grand child, Brayden; sisters Ellen (Robert) Secaur, and Winnifred Corrigan; and multiple nieces and nephews.
Mike was born and raised in Auburn,and relocated his family to Merritt Island in 1976, he relocated back to New York in 2007. Mike was an avid member of AA for fifty-plus years and continued to support the program until his death. Mike was a resident of the NYS Oxford Veterans’ Home, where he made many friends of both the staff and residents.
The Corrigan family would like to thank the Veterans’ Home staff, especially the nurses and aides on Oak Unit for the loving care provided to our father over the past 4 1/2 years.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the NYS Oxford Veterans’ Home.
