Naomi Gray


NORWICH – Naomi W. Gray, 88, of Norwich, peacefully passed away Nov. 7, 2011, while at home with her family by her side.
She was born Nov. 8, 1922 in the Town of Smithville, the daughter of the late Raymond and Anna Rose (Mudge) Wilson.
She is survived by her children Paulette Greeley and husband Philip of Norwich, Roger Gray of Norwich, Mark and Judy Gray of Oxford; her beloved grandchildren, Debra Hohmann and Rick Williams, Robert and Kerry Lynn Hohmann, Matthew Gray and Rachel Graham, Brian Gray and Erica Phetteplace, Michael Gray and Louise Marcy, Amanda and Keith Finch, Craig Gray, Angela and Jeff Hammon, Teresa and Will Jordan, Stacey Lum and Jim Hayes, Shaelyn and Ben Webb, and Chris Greeley; as well as sixteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her former husband Chauncey Gray, her son Donald Gray, and brother Sonny Wilson.
She was a strong willed woman who enjoyed life and dearly loved her family. She enjoyed golf and her weekly game of cards with her friends. Over the years, many friends and family members received handmade knitting gifts from her.
Her wishes were to donate her body to the SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. Therefore there will be no services at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chenango Co., 21 Hayes Street, Norwich, NY 13815; or the Oxford Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 172, Oxford, NY 13830.
