NORWICH – David W. Giltner, 72, of Moore Township, Pa., passed away following a long illness Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus.
He was the husband of Elaine M. (Bahrey) Giltner and they had just celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary in February of this year. Dave was born in Scranton, Pa., the son of Franklin and Gladys Giltner. He first attended the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. and later graduated from Muhlenberg College in 1963. Throughout his working career, Dave had worked for many years as an industrial salesperson prior to his retirement.
Dave is survived by his wife Elaine, his sons Steven of Weatherly, Pa., Thomas and his wife Andrea of Hollywood, Fla., his step-daughters Lorraine Layton and husband Robert of Dallas, Ga. and Christine Deutsch and husband Robert of Allentown and his brother Philip and wife Linda of Norwich. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Dave was predeceased b ya stepson Wayne Adelmann who passed away in 1999.
Funeral services for Dave will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown, PA 18102. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11.
