Michael Mclean


EATONTON, Ga. – Michael McLean, 58, of Eatonton, Ga. passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 11, 2011.
A memorial service was held Saturday, August 20 at Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church.
Mike “big papa” McLean was a loving husband, a devoted father, a caring grandfather, a loyal friend, a life saving hero, and most importantly a servant of Jesus Christ his savior. He cherished, protected, provided and loved his soul mate Dixie.
He raised, taught, sacrificed and loved his children. He was surrounded by and loved his many grandchildren that he cared for dearly.
He put his life in harms way and saved countless numbers of stranger’s lives because that’s what he was called to do. He was a loyal friend that could be counted on, no matter what. He was a main stay in his local church, The River of Life and served in several ministries which included Emmaus, Promise Keepers, Cheerful Hearts, New Beginnings, and Penfield, that touched many lives and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Mike is survived by his wife Dixie; four children, John, Amanda, Sara and Nick. Also 18 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
