NORWICH –Funeral services for John Carsten were held on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m. from the Calvary Baptist Church of Norwich. The Rev. Brian Conover, pastor, officiated. John’s daughter, Sharon Short, offered words of remembrance about her dad and also sang the Lord’s Prayer. Several other family members and friends also offered words of remembrance about John’s life. Pianist for the service was Lisa Conover.
Interment followed in the Godfrey Cemetery of Guilford with the Rev. Allen Carpenter offering the committal prayers.
Serving as casket bearers were John’s grandsons; Zachary and Travis Lawyer, Logan Carsten and Adam, Brad and Craig Short.
Arrangements were by the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home.
