LEBANON – Grace Marie Peschel, 86, of Bisbee Road, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 10, 2011.
She was born Dec. 1, 1924 in Brooklyn, a daughter of Howard and Isabelle Laffey McEwen and was a graduate of Bishop McDonald Memorial High School there. Grace married Joseph J. Peschel in Brooklyn and they made their home in Madison Park, N.J. Following his retirement, they moved to the Lebanon area in 1983. Mr. Peschel predeceased her on Dec. 6, 2005.
Grace was a communicant of St. Malachy’s Church in Sherburne.
Surviving are her children, Marjorie and Water Boyd of Gouldsboro, Pa.; Paul and Galina Peschel of Lebanon; Jacqueline and Gerard D’Amore of Lebanon; Patrice and Frederick Keesser of Monroe Township, N.J.; Howard and Patricia Peschel of Katy, Texas; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Eileen McCarthy and a brother, Howard McEwen.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday from St. Malachy’s Church, Sherburne followed by burial in St. Malachy’s Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
