NORWICH – Charlotte McKissick, 82, of Norwich and formerly of Schoharie, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 25, 2011, in the Residential Health Care Facility of Chenango Memorial Hospital.
The daughter of Clarence D. and Kathleen Slater DeLap, Charlotte was born in July of 1928 in Central Bridge. On Aug. 11, 1950, in Cobleskill, she married Robert McKissick Jr. She was a life-long homemaker for her children and grandchildren, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her for her humor and wonderful baked goods. “We love you and miss you.”
Charlotte is survived by her children: Robert Mckissick III and wife Tina, Roger McKissick and wife Linda, David McKissick, Helen Baker, and Faye Howard and husband Ken. Also surviving are her sister, Helen Viviano, 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and children of the future; her brother-in-law, Bill McKissick; and daughters-in-law, Teena and Laura McKissick. Charlotte was predeceased by her husband, Robert; her sons, Charles “Chuck” and Edward McKissick; her aunt, Jenny Schrom; sister-in-law, Abbie Hyer; and son-in-law, Roy Baker.
Funeral services for Charlotte will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. Interment will be in the North Pitcher Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Satursday from 10-11 a.m.
