DONALD GRAY
OXFORD – Donald K. Gray, 68, of Oxford, formerly of Golden Age Apartments of Norwich, passed away on May 26, 2011 at the NYS Veterans’ Home, Oxford.
He was born on Nov. 24, 1942 in Norwich a son of Chauncey and Naomi (Wilson) Gray.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Naomi Gray of Norwich; his daughters, Teresa Jordan of Coushatta, La. and Stacy Lum of Mt. Upton; his brothers, Mark Gray of Oxford and Roger Gray of Norwich; his sister, Paulette Hohman of Norwich; his grandchildren, Heather Owen, Corey Babcock, Cameron Lum and Nicole Lum, and his great grandchildren, Maya and Chelsea. He is also survived by many friends.
Don was a U.S. Army veteran of the Viet Nam War. He loved Bluegrass music and camping at many different events, while traveling around the country. He was known for his love of cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed playing golf and pinochle with his family and friends. He also like automobile racing. He loved his cat Mr. Snoop aka “Noop.”
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford with the Rev. Ralph Hinman officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford.
