SHERBURNE – William D. “Bill” Doyle, 69, Sherburne, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown.
He was born June 19, 1941 in Sherburne, a son of Dennis T. and Margaret McLaughlin Doyle and was a graduate of Sherburne High School. Bill worked as an inventory specialist at Procter & Gamble (Norwich Pharmaceuticals) in Norwich until his retirement, where he was a member of the Half Century Club.
Bill was a communicant of St. Malachy’s Church in Sherburne. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He was very active in the Sherburne Pop Warner Program and the Sherburne Little League for many years.
Surviving are his nieces and nephews, Kathy and Joseph Corey; Michael Cappadonia and his fiancée, Mary Lambert, Mark and Tammy Cappadonia, Mary Jo and Scott Burlison; and many grand nieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Laurentia and Joseph Cappadonia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday from St. Malachy’s Church, East State St., Sherburne, followed by interment in St. Malachy’s Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
