SHERBURNE – Henry Vaughn Creighton, 63, of New Turnpike Rd., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010 at his home.
He was born Nov. 19, 1947 in Oneonta, a son of the late Henry J. and Ellen J. Hollister Creighton. Henry proudly served his country in the Vietnam War with U.S. Army. He had worked for Colgate University in Hamilton and then Egg Low Farms in Sherburne until his retirement. On May 17, 1989, Henry married Margaret I. (Bagnall) Plows in Sherburne. Henry was a sportsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also raised miniature pinschers. He was a former member of the Sherburne American Legion Post #876.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret; mother-in-law, Ada George of Buffalo; step-sons, Nigel Reynolds of Sherburne and Michael Plows of Brookfield; a sister, Alicia Reynolds of Sherburne; a brother Fred Creighton and Donna Parker of Norwich; sister-in-law, Barbara Creighton of Oxford; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services with military honors will be held at 7 p.m. Friday from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 6-7 p.m. prior to the service.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
