Raymond Hull


SHERBURNE – Raymond W. Hull, 88, of Route 12, passed away at his home on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, with his family by his side.
He was born May 31, 1922 in Sherburne, a son of Walter and Cora Aylesworth Hull and was a graduate of Sherburne High School in 1940. A life long Sherburne resident, Ray was a dairy farmer until 1970, and then was a custodian at Sherburne-Earlville Central School until his retirement in 1994. On Nov. 17, 1946, Raymond was married to Vivian Satterlee in Smyrna.
Mr. Hull was a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church. His favorite hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening and woodworking.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Vivian; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Philip and Norma Hull of Sherburne; Kevin and Wanda Hull of Eastover, N.C.; and Eric Hull of Plymouth; two daughters and a son-in-law, Janice and Paul Nutting of Colonial Heights, Va.; and Kathy Caulder of Clayton, N.C.; eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Gladys Williams and Clara Whitacre.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne, followed by burial in West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until Noon prior to the service.
