PRESTON – Yvonne C. “Bonnie” Rink, of Old Forge, died Monday morning, Oct. 25, 2010 in the inpatient unit of VNA Hospice at the Community Medical Center.
She was the wife of the late Richard E. Rink, who passed away on Jan. 5, 1998.
Born in Preston, she was the daughter of the late Robert Tracy and Marjorie Bauder McCarthy, and the stepdaughter of Vernon McCarthy. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Old Forge VFW Post 4954, and the former Old Forge American Legion. She was also an avid golfer.
She is survived by four sons, Brian David Rink, Old Forge, Daniel Robert Rink and wife Joanne, Anderson, S.C., Dennis V. Rink and wife Rose Ann, Roaring Brook Twp, and Jon-Paul Rink and wife Gina, Scranton, and one daughter Janine Schreck of Shenandoah. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, Sunshine Semenza and husband Bobby, Old Forge; Heath Cowing and wife Kim, Exeter; Alexis Rink, West Pittston; Susan, Shannon and David Scheck all of Shenandoah; Brandon and Emily Olivia Rink, Anderson, S.C.; Alexander, Christina and Matthew Rink, all of Scranton; and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her companion Joseph Zimak of Old Forge.
The funeral and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family at the Old Center Cemetery, Pharsalia.
