SHERBURNE – Elizabeth Anne Boise, 77, of State Highway 12, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010 at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich.
She was born Sept. 29, 1932 in Sherburne, a daughter of the late Harold and Clara Wickham Collins, and was a graduate of Sherburne High School in 1950. On Feb. 5, 1953, Elizabeth married David W. Boise in Sherburne. He predeceased her on Sept. 8, 2002. A life long Sherburne resident, Mrs. Boise had worked at Norwich Pharmaceuticals for over 35 years until her retirement. She was an active and energetic person, always on the go. She loved flower gardening and enjoyed spending time at the family camp on Lake Moraine. She volunteered for the Red Cross Blood Drive for many years; was a member of the Earlville Women‚s Bowling Assoc. for over 40 years; a member of the Order of Eastern Star Tiandara Chapter #631 of Sherburne and a member of the American Legion Post #876 Auxiliary.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Debra Boise of Earlville; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon (Boise) and Kenneth Aston of Hertford, N.C.; a sister, Izora Winton of Sherburne; three grandchildren, Mitchell and Sean Boise, and Deanna Aston; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Richard Collins and two sisters, Helen Rundell and Mildred Ferris.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne, followed by burial in West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
