Kenneth Maclean


SYRACUSE – Kenneth R. MacLean, 61, of Ash St., passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the VA Medical Center, Syracuse.
He was born June 28, 1949 in Oswego, a son of Richard and Dorothy France MacLean. He was a graduate of Georgetown High School and SUNY, Morrisville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force from 1968 to 1972, and served in the Vietnam Conflict. Ken was a carpenter who worked for the Phelps Corporation in Syracuse. He loved music and playing his guitar. He enjoyed reading and collected books and comic books. His family was his greatest joy.
Surviving is his mother and step-father, Dorothy and Donald Kiefer of Stuart, Fla.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Andy and Deborah MacLean of Georgetown; Timothy and Kathleen MacLean of Jacksonville, Fla.; Rich and Katie MacLean of Cornwall; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lauren and Dale Reece of Berwick, ME and Rebekah MacLean of Lake Worth, Fla.; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father in 1998.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 24 in the North Scriba Cemetery, North Scriba.
There will be no calling hours.
