Joni Fuller


NORWICH – Joni L. Fuller, 33, of Norwich, passed away early Saturday morning, July 17, 2010 at the Wilson Hospital in Johnson City with her family by her side.
Joni was born in Johnson City in June of 1977. She grew up in the Bainbridge area and was a 1995 graduate of the Bainbridge-Guilford High School. Throughout her high school years, Joni was an accomplished and talented athlete. She held several school track records, was a four year member of the girls varsity volleyball team and went on to be the JV coach for the girls JV volleyball team. In addition to her sports enthusiasm, Joni was an avid NASCAR and motocross fan, followed musician Rob Thomas, enjoyed hockey and camping. Last but certainly not least, she was a diehard Disney World fan and had taken many trips with her family to Disney.
In her working career, Joni became employed by Wal-Mart right out of high school where she has worked for 15 years. She was currently the personnel manager for the Norwich store. On July 10, 1999, she married Richard “Rick” Fuller, who survives.
Besides her husband Rick of Norwich, Joni is survived by her children Kaili and Bryant all of Norwich, a cousin Dillan Smith, who she was caring for as her own, her mom Debbie Field McFee and companion Al Arotsky of Bainbridge, her step-dad Bruce McFee of Bainbridge, her sister Amanda (Joe) Winans of Afton, her brother Alan “AJ” McFee and his fiancee April Hotchkiss of Bainbridge, Kelly (Angela) Jenkins of Phoenix, Ariz., her maternal grandparents Don and Mimi Field of Bainbridge, paternal grandparents Harold and Sheila McFee of Jacksonville, Fla., her mother-in-law and father-in-law Richard W. and Patricia A. Fuller of Norwich and grandmother-in-law Dorothy “Dottie” Ryan of Norwich. Also surviving is Lori Drzazgowski of Bainbridge who she thought of as a sister, her sister-in-law Stacey Fuller of Norwich and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joni was predeceased by her brother, Shawn McFee.
Private graveside services for Joni will be held at the convenience of the family at the Mt. Hope Cemetery of Norwich. Friends may call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home in Norwich on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.
