SHERBURNE – Lucille Strain Kreimeyer, 79, of Sherburne, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Community Memorial Hospital, SNF, Hamilton.
She was born in South Edmeston on Dec. 27, 1930 a daughter of the late Elmer and Elizabeth Calhoun Strain. She was a 1948 graduated of Sherburne Central School. On Dec. 11, 1948 in Sherburne, she was united in marriage to Earl Kreimeyer. He predeceased her on June 19, 2006. Mrs. Kreimeyer provided child care for many Sherburne area families. She was employed at the Sherburne Inn for over 20 years and later cleaned for the Sherburne American Legion for many years until her retirement.
Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Kathleen Strain of Smyrna; Wendy and Wayne Bise of Spokane, Wash. ; Terry and Bob  St. Louis of Spring Creek, Nev.;  Lewis “Butch” and Tammy Strain, Jr of Osceola, PA.; William Strain of Elkland, Pa.; John and Sharon Schaller of Vernon; Joan Ward of Dunedin, Fla.; a brother-in-law Raymond Westcott of Spring Creek, Nev.; a sister-in-law Alberta Strain of Plymouth as well many great and great great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister Louise Westcott and a brother Lewis “Butch” Strain.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home 10 S. Main St., Sherburne, followed by burial in West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne.
Friends are invited and may at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2- 4 and 7-9 p.m.
