Robin R. Eastman


Robin R. Eastman, 70, of Waterville, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Oneida Health Hospital, with her family by her side. She was born on July 28, 1955, in Norwich, a daughter of the late Gaylord G. and Laurena (Murray) Gridley.
Robin grew up in Norwich and later moved to Waterville in 7th grade, then graduated from Waterville Central School in 1975. Later in 1975, Robin married Hubert Eastman, and raised two sons before separating. In 1987, Robin became the loving companion of Daniel Weaver, who loved her with his whole heart and soul for the past 39 years. She dedicated many years of caring service as a CNA, working at Harding Nursing Home, Waterville and The Presbyterian Home, New Hartford.
Robin treasured time spent with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, thrifting and treasure hunting sales, baking, cooking, caring for animals and watching wildlife, especially birds. Robin was a dedicated attendee of the Waterville Baptist Church during her youth, which fostered a strong and enduring belief in God, which was also shared by her parents.
Even as an adult, her faith was a guiding light in her life. She possessed a deep, unwavering trust in the Lord that stayed with her until the very end.
Robin is survived by her life companion of 39 years, Daniel E. Weaver, of Waterville; children, Jennifer Weaver (Barry Fabrey) of Ilion, Scott (Kristina) Weaver of Lowville, Philip (Tory) Eastman of Lexington, KY, Jared (Mariesa) Eastman of Waterville, Adam Weaver (Eve Woodson) of Dickson, TN, Eliza (John) Guthrie of Waterville, Andie Ernenwein of Verona, Wanda Mayne of Brookfield; her sister, Sandra (Peter) McCarthy of Norwich; her brother, Gaylord “Will” (Lori Detraglia) Gridley of Waterville; her sister-in-law, Lorrie Gridley of Madison; 13 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Luke.
She was predeceased by her husband, Hubert S. Eastman; her sons, Chad Eastman and Thomas Eastman; her brother, Pete Gridley and nephew, Matthew Gridley.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 210 E. Main St., Waterville, NY 13480.
Private Interment for immediate family in Waterville Cemetery, will follow.
Calling hours will be held at the funeral home from 1-3 p.m., prior to the service.
A Celebration of Robin’s life will be held at Sangerfield Legion, 8083 US-20, Waterville, NY 13480 on May 31, 2026 from 2-5 p.m. All are welcome to come and celebrate Robin’s well lived and loved life.
