Nancy P. “Nan” Warren

Nancy P. “Nan” Warren, age 81, of Eaton, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at home with family by her side. She was born June 15, 1944, in Hempstead, NY, daughter of the late Harry and Inez (Hill) Pollard.
Nan grew up in Greene, NY, graduating from Greene Central School District in 1962. After graduation, she turned her focus to what mattered most, building her family and filling every day with love.
While raising her children, Nan began her career with the United States Postal Service in 1980. She was promoted to Postmaster in 1986, spending two years in Chenango Forks, and then returning home to the Morrisville Post Office in 1988 where she remained until her retirement in 2006.
If raising children and working full time wasn’t enough, Nan gave her time and energy volunteering and giving back to her community, including work with the Morrisville Rotary Club, Morrisville Public Library, Edward R. Andrews Elementary School, Town Board of Elections, and the Food Bank at New Hope Christian Community Church in Oneida.
Even in her “free time” (and she somehow still had some), Nan kept herself busy doing what she loved. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially gardening and caring for her flower beds. She spent years bowling, becoming the first woman in Earlville to roll a 700 series and bowling on the Friday Night League for over 50 years. She also loved traveling with family and friends and was always up for the next adventure.
Nan was the foundation of her family’s world, always present, always cheering, always showing up. Her lasting presence will live on in the countless memories made and the love shared. She is survived by her loving husband, Lyle Warren; her brother, Jim (Jan) Pollard; her children, Mark (Tina) Sutherland, Robin Lorenzen, Tracy (Monty) Clark, Paul Baranoski, Kristen (Ray Baron Jr.) Woodcock, and Kenneth (Vanessa) Woodcock Jr.; her grandchildren, Nicole Klein, Ashley Douglas, Timothy Sutherland, Nathan Clark, Matthew Sutherland, William Sutherland, Sandra Queior, Kelsey Lorenzen, Caitlin Lorenzen, Kaleb Woodcock, Connor Woodcock and Brenna Woodcock. She has nineteen beautiful great-grandchildren, with another due on her birthday, and one great-great granddaughter. Nan was also blessed with five stepchildren and their families: Mary Warren, Scott (Laurie) Warren, Deanna (Jim) Hojnowski, Matthew (Sarah) Warren, and Bettina McCormick - twelve grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She also had a multitude of “adopted” children.
Waiting to meet her at Heaven’s gate were her parents, Kenneth Woodcock Sr. and many more family and friends. If you hear some thunder – know they’re all up there bowling.
The family invites you to join them for a celebration on Saturday, May 30th at New Hope Christian Community Church in Oneida. From 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., a Circle of Memories will be held, offering time to visit and share memories. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 p.m., honoring her life and faith. Immediately afterward, please join us for Moments Remembered, where we will share a meal and continue celebrating Nan’s life. As this is a celebration – please wear floral prints or bright colors. Interment will be held privately with immediate family.
Please consider donating in Nan’s honor to Helping Hounds (Syracuse, NY), Operation Northern Comfort (Syracuse) or the New Hope Church Food Bank - send check to church (P.O. Box 115, Oneida NY, 13421) with “Food Bank” in memo section.
