Timothy L. Stoddard

Timothy L. “Tim” Stoddard, 62, of Norwich, died on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at UHS Wilson Medical Center.
Tim was born on September 4, 1963, to Hobie Stoddard and Barbara Bunting Stoddard of Preston, NY. The family later moved to Tanner Hill in Norwich and then finally, to North Norwich.
Tim had lots of adventures growing up in North Norwich. From an early age, he learned about cars from Skip Seymour. He was also coached in Little League by his dad and helped his dad in the garden care business. Along the way, Tim made a great group of North Norwich friends who are still his friends to this day.
Although he spent some years working on the farm of his grandparents, he primarily spent his working career in the car business. Tim has been well known around Norwich for helping people with their vehicles. He was very knowledgeable and well respected. Tim loved the New York Yankees, the New York Giants, and loved telling jokes.
The greatest joys of his life happened when he became a father and later, a grandfather. He loved his children and grandsons very, very, much and was very proud of all their accomplishments. Tim was a very loving and caring father.
He will be very much missed by the many people who have known and loved him.
He is survived by his children: Tyler (Amanda) Stoddard, Nicole Stoddard, Kristin (Clayton) Audette; grandsons: Daniel Audette and Hudson Audette; sisters: Terri Stoddard, Tracey (Sam) Ventura, and Tamara (Jim) Yacano; brother, Tom (Lynda) Stoddard; stepbrother, Mark Root; stepsister, Lisa Rifanburg; aunt, Carole Landers; several cousins and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his grandparents; parents; stepfather, Bill Root; and brother-in-law, Tim Evans.
Any donations in his name may be made to a charity of your choice.
Friends and family are invited to call at the Wilson Funeral Home, in Norwich, on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a funeral service to immediately follow.
When someone you love becomes a memory, their memory becomes a treasure. May any jokes or stories you share about Tim or any acts of kindness you do in his name, bring comfort and peace to your heart.
