Mary L. Doing


Mary L. Doing, 76, of North Rd., Coventry, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at UHS Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City.
She was born October 12, 1948, in Norwich a daughter of the late Albert and Betty (Holcomb) Dungey and received her education in local schools.
On July 3, 1965, in Earlville, Mary was united in marriage to Donald Doing.
Mary was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, caring for her family was most important to her. She had worked for the Silo Restaurant, Coventry Town Hall and Coventry Transport, all of Greene, and enjoyed bowling in her spare time on leagues in Earlville and Greene.
Surviving is her husband Don; her children, Donna and Mark Rinker of Coventry, Wendy and Norm Poyer of Whitney Point, Aron Doing and his fiancée Lori Knapp of Coventry; grandchildren, Ashley and Greg Kenyon of Whitney Point, Jacob and Madison Poyer of Schenectady, Sara and Chad Eberly of Binghamton, Stacey and Devin Cooper of Schenectady, Adam Doing of Twinsburg, OH, Morgan Doing and Justin Shuba of Endicott, Andrew Doing of Bainbridge, Carley Collins and Joshua Piatt of Port Crane; great-grandchildren, Ariya, Ava and Maverick Kenyon, Levi Eberly, Hayes, Benson and Daisy Cooper and Mason Shuba; sisters, Margaret Palmer of S. Hamilton, Linda Dungey of Sherburne, Vanessa (Mark) Pullman of Leesburg, Fla.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by a sister, Nancy Dungey, and three brothers, Donald, Charles and Richard “Dick” Dungey.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Coventry United Gospel Church, 2569 State Highway 206, Greene (Coventry), NY 13778.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
