Anne M. Trevorah

Anne M. Trevorah, 82, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, in Binghamton, New York.
Born on November 15, 1942, in Pulaski, New York, Anne devoted her life to caring for others both professionally and personally. A founding member of The Dinosaurs, a legendary generation of caregivers at the New York State Veterans Home in Oxford, “Maple Anne” was a pillar of compassion and empathy on the Maple unit. As a Registered Nurse, Anne profoundly impacted countless veterans and their families, embodying a dedication to attentive care throughout her career. To Anne, nursing was more than her profession—it was her way of serving her country by caring for those who had defended it.
A woman of steadfast faith and firm believer in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Anne embraced the mission of sharing the Gospel with others through her personal testimony and supporting ministries near to her heart. Her spiritual strength was a guiding light throughout her latter years of life and a source of comfort to those around her.
She was a loving mother who cherished her family deeply. Anne is survived by her daughter, Johanna (Nathan) Ashworth; sons Michael Corteville, Christopher Corteville, and Mark (Beth) Corteville; grandchildren Nevin, Nathan, Jhenna, and Jordan; great-grandchildren Marshall, Liam, and Caedynce; and sister Barbara (James) Joslyn. She was predeceased by her mother, Madolyn Corse, and her son, Brian Corteville.
Anne’s legacy lives on through the lives she touched—both in her professional role as a nurse and in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made in Anne’s honor to the UHS Foundation, in support of the Palliative Care Unit (PCU), with gratitude to the “angel nurses,” as Anne referred to them, for their compassionate support and dedicated care. https://www.nyuhs.org/give-back
The family is also thankful to the South Central New York Nurses Honor Guard for honoring Anne prior to her passing with a beautiful in-room ceremony to celebrate her 30+ years of service as a Registered Nurse.
