William Wigdzinski


William “Bill” Wigdzinski, 68, of Bainbridge, died on Monday, March 31, 2025 at UHS Wilson Medical Center.
Born on July 17, 1956, in Mineola, NY, Bill was a son of Walter and Mary (Gilewski) Wigdzinski. After his high school graduation, Bill worked as an illustrator, and then, with his brother, in the construction industry. In 2006, Bill moved to the Norwich area where he found employment as a rehabilitation specialist with Greater Opportunities of Broome and Chenango until his retirement.
Bill enjoyed living in Upstate New York and all it has to offer. He enjoyed hunting, wood working, taxidermy, and mowing the fields or just walking the property.
On July 15, 2022, he married his long time partner, Anne Hunsinger, who survives. Bill is also survived by his mother, Mary Wigdzinski; stepchildren, Jason (Angel) Lashure of Rome, NY, Erik (Catherine) Lashure of Fort Johnson, NY, and Crystal (Michael) Squires of Dolgeville, NY; step-grandchildren, Zeke, Brisben, Abigail, and Victoria; siblings, Barbara (Jeffrey) Sullivan, Ronald (Diane) Wigdzinski, and Joseph (Gloria) Wigdzinski; and nieces and nephews, Michelle, Amanda, Andrea, Gregory, and Michael. In addition to his father, Bill was predeceased by his step-grandson, Zachary.
Bill’s family wishes to thank the staff of the Chenango Dialysis Center for the support and care in the last few years.
Friends are invited to call at the Wilson Funeral Home, in Norwich, on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. with a funeral service to immediately follow.
The family requests in lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Chenango Dialysis Center, 54 East Main Street, Suite 6, Norwich, NY 13815, for the care of patients.
