William C. Thomsen (Bill), 57, of Sherburne passed away in the comfort of his own home on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. Bill was born on March 14, 1968, in Norwich and was the son of David and Margaret (Jackson) Thomsen.
Bill grew up on his family’s dairy farm in New Berlin, NY. He was a truck driver for Reese Marshall for many years. He loved being home and took great pride in caring for his home and lawn. Bill was a hardworking, conservative, family man. He will forever be known as the salt of the earth.
Bill is survived by his mother, Margaret; daughter, Cierra (Derek) Utter; daughter, Shaylyn Thomsen, bonus son Zayne Dibbel; brother, Michael Thomsen, granddaughter Haylee Utter and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father David Thomsen.
Bill was cared for in his final days by his two daughters, mother, estranged wife Melissa Thomsen and niece Candy Holbert.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
