Anna P. Berry


MONKTON, Vt. – Anna P. Berry, 79, passed away June 1, 2010, at the home of her granddaughter, Jessica Berry, in Monkton, VT. 
She was born July 1, 1930, in West New York, N.J., the daughter of James and Julia Keating.
Anna graduated from Oxford Academy in 1949 and worked as a clerk for C & U Telephone CO. in Norwich, NY, to 1951.
On August 19th, 1950 she married Charles E. Berry II at St. Joseph's Church, Oxford, NY.
Anna was employed as a clerk for Merced County Irrigation District from 1951 to 1953.
In VT, she helped Father Provo organize the old St. Ambrose records in Bristol and attended Champlain College to study library science.  From 1968 to 1977 Anna was in charge of converting the Middlebury College library from the Dewey Decimal System to The Library of Congress System.  In the late 1970's and early 1980's, she was in charge of St. Joseph the Provider College Library in Rutland. 
Anna is survived by her husband, Charles; two grandchildren, Jason and Jessica; three great-grandchildren, Jezriel, Xzavia and Ezekiel; Julie, Rhonda, Tara, Jeffrey, Nolan and Nicholson; many nieces, nephews and cousins. 
Anna was predeceased by her two sons, Charles "Chuck" Edwin Berry III in 1980 and James Michael Berry in 1983; a brother George Keating; two sisters, Mary Keating Rotundo and Florence Keating Franklin; and her parents, James and Julia Keating.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:30 PM Saturday, June 26, at St. Joseph's Church in Oxford. 
Burial will be in the Mount St. Joseph Cemetary in Bristol, VT on July 10.
There will be no public calling hours.
