Doris I. (Hazard) Genter passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025 at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville, NY.
Born in Lebanon, NY, on January 9, 1933. Doris lived and worked in the area and dedicated her life to her family, friends and church.
She was predeceased by granddaughter Tammy, her son Vernon, and two husbands Russell Genter, Sr. and Carl Ferris.
Doris is survived by daughters Vicki Genter of Pennellville NY, Karen Coye (Thomas Lewin) of Oneida NY, daughter in law Jeanne Brown (Steven Cooke) of Waterville NY, stepdaughters Jackie (Scott) Dinkel of The Villages, Florida, Jeannette (Chip) Martin of Trumansburg, NY, son Russell (Debi Severin) Genter, Jr. of Sherburne, NY, adopted son Joseph (Rita) Peptis of Schenectady, NY; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will follow in the spring.
