Christiann Carpenter


EARLVILLE – Christiann F. Carpenter, 17, of Collins Road, passed away Friday, Oct. 27, 2006.
She was born Aug. 2, 1989 in Hamilton, a daughter of Randy J. and Catherine J. Hughes Carpenter. Christiann was a student at Hamilton Central School where she played volleyball and was a member of the Almeda Society. She had a special place in her heart for Heritage Farms and she spent much of her time volunteering there. She also spent many hours as a volunteer at the Earlville Thrift Store Bargain Basker.
Christiann was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Hamilton, and a member of the confirmation class. She was an archer who won trophies in competition, and enjoyed the outdoors and hunting with her father.
Surviving are her parents, Randy and Catherine; two sisters, Cassandra and Hanna Carpenter; her maternal grandparents, Richard and Elaine Hughes of Earlville; her paternal grandparents, John and Barbara Carpenter of Earlville along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Her brother, Eric John Carpenter predeceased her on Oct. 6, 1989.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, from St. Mary’s Church, Hamilton, followed by burial in the Earlville Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Christiann’s family has requested donations in her memory to be made to Heritage Farm, Inc., RD #1, Box 143, Bouckville, NY 13310; or to St. Mary’s Church, 16 Wylle St., Hamilton, NY 13346.
