Sharon A. Sutherland, 69, of Norwich, passed away on November 4, 2024.
She was born in Norwich on May 12, 1955 to Michael and Eleanor Champlin. She graduated from Norwich High School in 1973 and received a Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Oswego in 1977 and went on to work for Chenango County Department of Social Services for 43 years. Sharon enjoyed live music performances, attending various festivals, country drives where she toured wineries and breweries, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
Sharon leaves behind her husband of 41 years, Douglas Sutherland; her mother, Eleanor Champlin; her daughter, Amy and Kevin Hart; her grandchildren, Oliver Hart, and Delaney Hart; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her father, Michael Champlin; and her brother, Earl “Butch” Champlin.
At this time, there will be no formal services for Sharon.
Arrangements have been entrusted to R.J. Fahy Funeral Home.
