John loved his family, friends and country deeply! His true love, Janet, whom he married on July 27, 1963, his children and grandchildren were always put first.
John was not always found in the house but rather out on the tractor, working the fields, mowing/bailing hay, or cutting down trees for firewood to keep his family safe and warm. It wasn’t always work that kept him busy outside. He could often be seen giving tractor rides to his grandchildren, or even playing football or baseball with family, friends and neighbors! One of his favorite pastimes was playing cards with anyone that would play. His competitive nature was fierce. So much love and laughter were around anything he took part in. He lived well and loved hard!
