Jane M Ross, 90, of Oxford, NY, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2024, in Waterville, NY. Jane was born on March 31, 1934, to the late Chester Cook and Margaret Loughren Cook in Norwich, NY. Jane was a lifetime resident of Oxford, NY, and was a graduate of Oxford Academy Central Schools. She was a big part of her hometown community and peers. Jane worked for over 30 years at Enchanted Forest Water Safari during the summers and for the Oxford Schools in the cafeteria serving school meals and driving school bus for many years. Outside of working she was a member of the Oxford Fire Department Auxiliary and was the Past Auxiliary President. When Jane wasn’t working or helping serve her community she enjoyed several hobbies, camping with her friends and family, crafting, crocheting, knitting and ceramics.
Jane is survived by her children: Kenneth Ross, James (Ellen) Ross; her sister Ruth (Russell) Stafford; and grandchildren: Jessica, Ashley, Justin, Adam, Gerrid, Allen and Dustin; and her 12 great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her parents, loving husband Gerald Ross, and their son David Ross.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Behe Funeral Home Inc., 21 Main Street, Oxford NY 13830. Friends and family are welcome at the funeral home from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 12, 2024. A service officiated by Pastor Rich Howard will immediately follow.
