Paul V. Mulligan, 89, of Hamilton, formerly of Sherburne, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 31, 2024. He was born June 10th, 1935, in Sherburne, to parents Harold and Dorothy (Harrington) Mulligan. He received his education in Sherburne school.
On August 4th, 1962 he was united in Marriage to Gloria Lamphier. They were married 62 years.
Paul was employed by the William W. Kehoe funeral home and the Burgess and Tedesco funeral home until his retirement.
He was a communicant of St. Malachy’s Roman Catholic Church in Sherburne.
Paul enjoyed oil painting and was an incredibly talented artist.
Surviving are, his wife, Gloria; daughters, Patricia Mulligan of Sherburne, Mary Golley of Hamilton; sister Theresa (Andrew) Heinegg of Potsdam NY; brothers-in-law, Earl MacArthur of Morristown, NY, Herb (Jeanne) Suydan of Norton MA; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Lisa Mulligan Lavoie; grandson, Michael Paul Golley; sister, Joyce MacArthur; and brother, Harry Mulligan.
At his request, there will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 7th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Malachy’s Roman Catholic Church, 29 East Main St., Sherburne, NY 13460. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. prior to the Mass. Following the Mass the internment will be at St. Malachy’s Cemetery. A luncheon will be held in the church hall following the Mass.
