Cynthia D. Butler


Cynthia D. Butler, 64, of Guilford, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024. She was born in Sidney to the late Betty Smith.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Morris Butler of Guilford; her daughters, Mollie and Lyle Davis of Guilford, Melanie Manwarren of Oxford, and Mindie and George Shepard of Johnson City, TN; her grandchildren, Richard Warren, Jr. and Brooke Smith of New Berlin, Kristen Warren of South New Berlin, Amber Jenkins and Brice Deking of Oneida, Shelbie Jenkins of Oneida, Jasmine Manwarren of Oxford, Ezara Manwarren of Oxford, Zachary Anderson of New Berlin, Kya Anderson and Adam Vaun of New Berlin, Cynthya Davis of Guilford, Carly Davis of Guilford, Ryan Davis of Guilford, John Bedell, Jr. of Guilford, Jacob Bedell and Lynsi Chrisman of Chuckey, TN, Destiny Bedell of Bluff City, TN, and Justin Manwarren and Sabrina Clemens of Oxford; her great-grandchildren, Nova Warren, Amelia Vaun, Peter Mikalunas, Sophia Wright, John Bedell, VI, William Bedell, and Trent Bedell; her brothers, Carl Smith of Norwich, and David and Cindy Smith of Guilford; her brother-in-law, Floyd Butler; and her sister-in-law, Virginia Constable.
Cynthia will be remembered for her homemade cinnamon buns that were famous throughout the area. She was always engaged in craft making and going to shows, her affection for her dog, Snickers, and most of all, the love she shared with her family coordinating all of the holiday parties and family events. Her husband, Morris loved her dearly and spoiled her in every way he could. She will be truly missed.
A celebration of Cynthia’s life will be announced at a future date.
