Freida L. Curtis


Freida L. Curtis, 83, of Brookfield, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Freida was born on September 16, 1940 in North Brookfield and was the daughter of the late Lester and Florence (Keith) Elliott.
Freida was employed by Kraft as a machine operator for over 30 years. She was a bus driver at Brookfield Central School. Freida was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brookfield. She was in the Brookfield Historical Society and the Oriska Valley Seniors. Freida enjoyed scrapbooking and crocheting. She was a very friendly and outgoing person. She loved to work and visit.
Freida is survived by her special friend, John Paino; son, J. Marc (Nanette) Curtis; Randall (Colleen) Curtis; daughter, Hope (George) Plows; Faith (Doug) Gaudin; son, Terry (Tish Nodeau) Curtis; grandchildren: Nicole, Melinda, Westly, Cody, Garth, Thomas, Lindsey, Christopher, Annette, Brandon and Zachery; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild; brother, Lowell (Geraldine) Elliott; close friends, George and Sandy Price; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard; sister, Judy Friend; brother, David Elliott; infant sister, Faith Elliott.
Friends and family will be invited to visitation and funeral service in the near future at a date and time to be announced.
